Clutch issue ..

Hi , my clutch is really heavy just now and I'm due to replace it but the noise coming from the bell housing from the actuating arm is worrying me ... Someone suggested to me it's the bushes inside the arm might need lube . Is this the cause of my heavy and unsmooth clutch ?

I'm meaning the rubber gator that sits below the clutch fork .. The squeaking noise and stiffness appears to be coming from there

Pretty sure the rubber is just a dust sheild ,could be wrong tho
