clutch

  Lionel Richie
are you sure its the clutch? 100K miles is around the average life of a clutch on a 1.2 16v (as long as you can drive)

has the cable snapped or something?

^^^^^^that don't sound good^^^^^.
ooh i dunno, only done 36k and when i put my foot down some times the rev meter goes up, then goes down, went to kwik fit they said it might be a ne clutch needed. :(

Clutch at 36k is a bit soon to be honest unless you drive like a c**t, & don't let kwik fit touch it atall

Grease your clutch cable like Fred said, might be sticking/jamming somewhere.

I had a similar problem at 25k, the clutch itself was fine but the oil coating due to a failed gearbox input shaft seal wasn't.

Renault wouldn't cover it under warrenty and wanted to charge me £1k to change the gearbox, a £40 seal/bearing and a weekend spend mostly in the garage and it was back better than before.

Not saying its the same thing but the symptoms seem very similar.

so u think it might be the gearbox seal or bearing, will ask rentec to check it out. hopfully it won't costme that much as i need new tyres, a mot and a holiday booked. :(

Not saying it is that its just what happened to me, could be something failed in the clutch you won't know until the gearbox is off.
