Clutch

  320d
The clutch in my car (1.2 16v) has its biting point right at the top of the pedal travel and it is also heavy compared to other cars, is this normal or should I be worried?

Car is 3 years old with 36k btw

renault clutches are a bit heavier than some more modern systems, IMO it's because they use a cable still and havn't gone to hydraulic. Man up TBH

Best compair it with other 1.2's but they are all high and all small biting points and all heavy.

Unless a seal etc has gone or something broken or the cars been used for none stop 1/4 mile or slipping clutch it won't need one.

cheers edde, i havnt noticed anything and it went in for a service and nothing was mentioned by the mechanics, and also by reno's mechanics when it went in a months ago.

was just reassuring myself don't want any bills for it as its going in 11 months, for a 172 hopefully.
