cobra cat1 alarm and immob.....

right now this is starting to wee me off to put it politely.......my cars currently fitted with a cobra cat one alarm and immob...all fitted professionally and with the certificates just before i bought the car(about 18months ago)....now its been fine up until the beginning of this week....every so often the alarm will just go off on its own!! was out getting mashed last night and got a call from the mother saying it was going off and how does she turn it off.....anyway she did everything and when i got in about 6 this morning i unlocked it and reset it just to be sure.....no its only doing it at night time but by the time mr baseball bats found his way there theres definately no1 around........


anyone fit these for a living and have any ideas what could be faulty? ive checked all the switches etc and they seem to be fine.......it couldnt be anything to do with the cold weather could it? i know it sounds stupid but ecus can be affected by it.....

any help much appreciated as this is the 3rd time its done it! at stupid o clock in the morning! and no theres not anything moving in the car aka daddy long legs like i had last summer lol

I had a cobra cat 1 fitted to my valver & that was fine in the three years I had the car.
It could be anything really i'd guess that the alarm is over-sensitive, it could just be getting set off by the wind ! or (this will sound daft) maybe one of your neighbours cats is setting it off ?

Any decent alarm shop should be able to diagnose the problem.

yeh ive already come to that conclusion but its been fine up until now and theres always been cats around so unless theyve just suddenly taken a liking to the car.....who knows!! it wasnt windy.....god knows

did it again last night.....now its only doing it if i dont use the car during the day....if i use it earlier in the evening its fine....:S

another thing thats baffling me is the fact it goes off for a couple of minutes then without doing anything at all it stops and never goes off again until i unlock it the next day.....??? normally it goes off then stops for a few minutes then goes off again.....
