Cobra Imola II seats

  Renaultsport 220T
Finally got round to taking a few pics of my new seats. Driving position has been vastly improved, and combined with the harnesses, I now feel like I am sitting in the car rather than on it. It does feel like you are part of the car and I can feel every movement directly under my brain.

Power to weight has improved also, as the seats are Kevlar and weigh less than half of the originals.

Must be getting close to 1000 kg,anyone know the weight of the back bench?

4kg for the bottom section

10-15 for the top

4kg for the isofix bar.

Front seats are HEAVY! 45kg+

So total saving would be around the 90-100kg mark.

I wish i didnt open this thread... i wanna do this now.. :( They look simply awesome mate! is it a bit of a harsh ride?

Steve they are stunning .. have you got a link to the harnesses please, do the seats just fit into the normal frames ?? and who fitted them for you ?? :)

Smaller wheel and a cage next on the list, Mark.

The ride is suprisingly comfortable, they are a tight fit, so I've got to try and stay off the Guinness! I've driven up to Silverstone twice and to Donnington last weekend for a trackday and survived.

On track they are amazing.

Maz, you can get harnesses from demon tweeks as well, or www.rallynuts.com, which is where I ordered mine from.

You need subframes and sliders as well to mount the seats. Mark Fish fitted mine for me.

Will show you on Friday, Maz.

Cheers for the comments peeps.

As I said when I sat in them at Silverstone ... spot on.

Ditto they are gorgeous, if I could reach the pedals that is! Very snug fit even on my size 10 arse

I've been tempted to put them in mine for ages...

Have you recovered Yoz's bonnet from old hall yet?

I'll be at Brands for the RS day, you know Brands, where you went off at Surtees.
