What is it like dave? Too many good games. Im trying to get into PES 6 now this comes out!
its very good, like COD2 but with much better graphics and detail. Very manic but we have come to expect it from this series, no time to just sit around and admire the view yet anyway LOL

Mine came yesterday. Had about an hour on it.
Not a huge difference from COD2 but seems better graphically. Got trapped a few times which is a little annoying and I seemed to notice a few men dissapearing into thin air! This should be bread and butter stuff for games testers, they have obviously rushed it out in time for xmas. I haven't downloaded the current patch because my connection was down, hope this stuff can be fixed.

So who's being a real man and playing it on veteran then? I played 2 on Veteran and have started 3 on the same.
It's no where near as polished as 2 but is still an excellent game. The guys who did 2 are already working on the next serious update to the series, while 3 was a filler done by another team.
I've now got this, NFS Carbon and of course GoW arriving later this week. Glad my misses is away for a couple of evenings. I was late going to see her the other night because COD3 was frustrating me so much I refused to leave the house until I'd done one section I was stuck on. She knew it was for the best or I'd have just been snappy.

Hooked up my xbox running COD3 to my plasma via scart
Hooked up my xbox 360 running COD3 to my plasma via RGB (HD 1080i)
Fook me does the xbox look shite !! I mean really bad.. the graphics on the 360 are quite simply astounding in comparison to the xbox. Now I know this is to be expected but to actually see them running side by side just shows you how far its moved on ! Even down to dynamic lighting effects on the people (their clothes) and objects in the game.. it simply doesnt exist on the xbox.. same goes with smoke effects etc.
The 360 truley is next gen. I look forward to getting my Wii next month, I know its not next gen but should be interesting !

Tried COD3 but didn't like the arcade feel of it (nothing like farcry / HL2 on PC, which are my favourite FPS')...so going to get GOW instead.

Sounds to me like you'll enjoy Rainbow 6 more when that's out.
Just bought COD3 and had a quick blast.... the game is fuking carnage... for a challenge and to ensure that a game lasts at least a week i decided to up my usual difficulty challenge from normal to hard... i must have died a dozen times in the first hour!
And what a game farcry is i refuse to trade that game in brilliant...
