coilover options?

  172 Cup On A Diet
Im looking into getting some coilovers but just dont know which ones to get.. From january i will be using the car for track days. Im thinking either bilsteins or gaz? Anyone have these or know any other options around the £700 price range? They must be dampening adjustable.

Steer clear of GAZ (v v v poor build quality), i have KW's v2's (cannot rate these enough, simply superb), but Blisten's would also be a good choice.

KW varient 2's are a bit more than i want too spend really. Only problem with bilsteins they havent got adjustable dampening?

we have used these on loads of cars and as long as maintained they are great, again only golds if u are going on track

dont take this too personally, but defending Gaz coilovers undermines your opinion to an incredible level. Far beyond their build quality (shocking!!) they're pretty crude even when they're fully functioning

we all have our opinions and i have dealt with GAZ directly a lot and have nothing but good feedback, plus they are always really helpful with advice ect,i use kw on my 205 which are correct much better quality, but try getting parts advice repairs ect from them is a nightmare.
and without being rude answers like this are not needed as its purely my personal opinion
if u were going all out track it would be reiger or ast with remotes as most will probably know but we all have budgets

Kw V2's IMO, I've used Gaz and they aren't as bad as people make out, once you've played with the damping settings they're an acceptable road set up however there are better kits out there

w**k!

Mine burst a seal in the first day oil fitting. Got a replacememnt, then i had a slight knocking from the rear. Changed the rear dampers for the Renault jobbies, noise gone. So sent them back to GAZ, got a new set, fitted them, same knocking appeared. Ride is either pogo, or rock hard, no in between. f**ked em off. s**t. They are worse then a Ktec stealth (mk2) which are the top two mods to ruin a MK2 RS Clio ;)

You cannot compare GAZ to Billstien, the B14's are a cracking bit of kit. 100% recommend them, H&R's or KW (had all three down the years)

whats soo bad with the gaz coilovers? whats wrong with the build quality?
Poor design build quality and design.

SOmeone on here sells them and says there all new and better. Not to disagree with them as maybe they are but I bought one of there last all new coilovers and they were rubish so make of that what you will people with the new coilovers say there happy at the moment best ask them though

FK Königsport, H&Rs/Bilstein (not adjustable), KW V2, AST... Can't go wrong with any of these imo.
