currently looking at two set ups.... either the H&R or the KW varaint 2 version (adjustable height + damping) What are peoples opinions of either of these kits? There seem to be more people running the H&R set up, any reason for this?

How much have people payed and where sourced from?

cheers

H and R are cheaper I think and Im not 100% sure they have TUV approval.

Type 2 K and W stuff isnt cheap if I was evne thinking of that sort of money Id spend the bit extra and go for Leda (£1.5k) or try and get some Blistein stuff (not going to be easy as they only made 10 or so sets) or drop Yozza a message (his Pms are full so remember to make a copy of the message before you send it) as he is having sosm more blistein stuff mad eup I think but its still not cheap £1.5k again I think.

Id be tempted if I had a 172 and wanted coilovers but a bit cheaper to get some H and R stuff and then get some of the custom coilovers for the back that Yozza and Fred are having made up then wind it all the way down and remove that slippter before it catches on stuff.

H and R is £550 or £550 I think from somoen on here and probably other places if you shop round.

hmmmm just looked at the version 2, i was only thinking about paying 700 max.... so they are out of the question, so its either the h&R or the kw version 1s now, but these arent damping adjustable. Saying that i *doubt* itll ever be tracked, but you know what the roads are like round here, so i think they should be damper adjustable too. Looks like H&Rs unless there are other makes NOT gaz.

I had damping adjusting Spax stuff and I drive on the same roads as you probably do. I never bothered adjusting my ones (one either coilovered car) once Id found a setting I was happy with. The stock setups are a perfect mix. However for track days I did fine hardening them up was better althouth having none adjusting ones wouldnt have been a big issue.
