Cold starting problem

  clio 182 black /gold

when i start the 182 up in the morning it idles very rough and if you rev it to 2-3K it miss fires and pops into the exhuast when you let it off. Also when you drive it off it feels like the choke needs to be on. Does any one else have this? If so what was / is it? Cheers Lee

Lots of people have the problem, ive found if you drive using cruise controll as soon as possible for the first minute or so it goes away.Or leave it ticking over for thirty seconds before you set off.

Lee - I wouldnt worry m8 - mine does the same. In fact, sometimes it splutters and stalls. I always let it idle for a good 20-30 seconds before setting off though.

Its not even propper cold yet!

Look on the bright side, when winter comes, by the time youve de-iced the car it should have stopped messing around :)
