182 will not start

Hi guys,

My 2004 182 wont start

Video here:

You can see the immobilizer light flashing before the key is in the ignition, goes solid red in key position 2 then goes out. Is this normal?

Not sure if you can hear in the video, but getting a clicking noise from the glove box area.

As it going on/off I'm assuming it's not a problem with the starter? Could it be an earth issue?

I've fully charged the battery & tried a different key.

Its normal for the light to flash like that with no key in.

Are you sure the battery isnt shot, Are you able to test it with a multi meter? You have the exact same symptons i did and it was the battery. Does the time on the clock reset?

Yep it was the battery!
Strange though, as before charging it was 12.4v, took over 48 hours on trickle charge, went upto 14v or so.
When checking earthing points etc I was only getting 10.6v.
Glad it was only a battery that was needed
