Colour choice

I need help please guys,

Im in the process of selling my car and will be buying a 182 soon after its gone,

But im stuck inbetween 2 colours now.

Racing blue and Black/Gold

If you could post pics of your RB's and BG's that would be great and help me to decide which colour to go for,

Many thanks

Louis

Welcome to the forum. :) Here's some of my BG... I traded down from an RB R27 so have had both colours on one car or another.

I would've loved to have found a decent RB with both cup packs but couldn't throughout my search for a 182. :( Oh well. Still love the BG when it's clean.

Good luck with your sale and 182 hunt.

I have to say get RB, from a cleaning point of view you will regret getting black.

Oh black is my favourite colour on any car but i'll never have another black car.

That's without the pictures when the sun is shining on it!

I gave up with my pearl black eventually! Grrrrrrrrrr!

I had a black gold from new in 2004. Sold it in 2005 for an Impreza P1 and now getting back in the Clio swing. When it's polished up and clean, it's a fantastic colour. Trouble is, keeping the b*stard in that condition is hard. Swirls are a nightmare on any black car, too.

Racing Blue is my next port of call

I have allways found you can spend hours detailing a black car and it looks mint when its sat on your drive but drive to the shops and it looks dusty and dirty and like you havnt even tried.

Sliver FTW ;)

Austins's looks awesome there,

Still not even drove one, but im sure il be pleased lol.

Bit of a drop in power from my Supercharged Fiesta ST, but got some nice plans for it already

Tell me about it, mate. I'm coming from 3 x 340bhp+ cars. :dapprove:

Still, it's all about the funs.

Oh wait, I forgot the d. Funds.

I'd have loved an RB, but the overall package of a car is much more appealing to me. It has to have been well looked after and low-ish miles (on a Renault anyway, french heap, LOL). When I looked at 182s I wasn't really fussed on the colour - as much as mine is a swirl bus at present  it'll be fixed soon enough with a nice detail. :)

If you're as picky as me chap, go for the overall package.

Yup, you honestly can't go wrong with either a black or a racing blue. As I said, the black I had was stunning to look at, and the gold fleck in the paintwork was incredible when the sun hit it.

<3 swoon. Nice. I'm going to get a quote tonight for my paint to be corrected. Long story. But it won't be me paying for it so might aswell.

Well, if that's the case, you're in. I don't know if the paint on the 182's is hard or not, but I'm sure it won't be able to have too many corrections done before it f*cks up. Best thing is I seriously doubt it's been corrected previously.

Will look brand new once detailed up. :)

love the BG paint, ive never seen one in the sun and i think ive just set my heart on a black one.

thanks for the pics scutch mate

Knows. It's never been touched in that way. I doubt it has even been polished. Female owner for the last 3 years who has washed it with a brillo pad. Tusk. Anyway, yeah. If it doesn't get done for this reason, I'm having a crack at it when it's warmer. :) I need shiney noice paint.

  RB One Eight Two
RB deffinately. I had a black 1.2 and its safe to say I won't be getting another black car. Black cars look lovely if kept clean but they show up the smallest amount of dirt.

I'd have RB over BG. I think BG looks quite plain which to some is a plus but I'm not so keen.

Howdy

You got a 182 now? Where has the Cup gone? Ohh that quote isn't from Gaz in this thread, question remains though.

  b/g 182, meg tourer
tough choice between the two. if you go for a b/g, i hope you like cleaning!

racing blue, no stripes, anthracite ultraleggera's = win imo.
do love my bg when its clean tho, and a slightly more 'grown up colour'.
