Colour coding

Alright everyone,

was going to get my bumpstrips/doorhandles/front n back bumpers done on my Dynamique at a bodyshop.

Been round a few places, some are willing to do it and have given reasonable prices, 2/3 arent as they have said the plastic material is unsuitable for painting??

Surely when sanded down to remove the texture the paint should stick to them am I right?

Obviously what I dont want is to pay money to have them done, only for the paint to start flaking etc a few months down the line:dapprove:?

Any thoughts?

Ive done my own bumper strips and made sure I sanded them back a few times and used loads of coats of primer, their spot on tbh, I wouldnt like to try and do proper bumpers though as their a bit bigger.

ive looked at colour coding mine, most places will just say they cant be done because they cant be arsed to do the prep work, but best thing to do is ask around and find someone that doesnt charge the earth and has a good rep.

Cheers guys. yeah 1 bodyshop has said he will do the bumpstrips for £30 with some other repair work I'm having done. Just a bit cautious cos of the amount of places saying its not worth it...maybe ur right clioftw, they jus cba with the work

30 quid?!?! thats well cheap, my best quote was 55, wouldnt have thought the paint itself would be far off 30 tbh
