Does anybody else find that the colour of the front quater panels & rear bumper can sometimes look a different shade to the rest of the car? Iv got a silver 182!
If Renault are anything like Peugeot chances are the plastic panels will firstly be painted separately from the car combined with the plastic parts may have different paint used leads to what you have noticed - was put off Silver 182's from new after the one in the showroom when ordering mine looked like the rear bumper and front wings where a different colour to the rest of the car.
plastics hold static different to metals so when applying the metalic base coat the metalic pigments will stand up on a plastic panel rather than laying flat on a metal panel this will cause the light to reflect at a different angle and thats when you get a different colour.
Also plastics have a different absorbtion level to metals, thats why when you remove a decal from a car and paint the panel you will see the colour difference.
