Colway F2 tyres

I fancy trying some of these out - but nowhere seems to have them in stock.

The Colway office main number when I dial it no longer exists, and if I dial the fax number it just rings and rings.

Have they gone bust?

Actually have them in standard valver/willy 185/55/15 size so if they were you could get a set for summer :evil: lol

They are motorsport retreads.

They are road legal and FIA approved - and for approx. £50 a corner, they're also a f****** bargain!

Demon Tweeks don't stock them any more I didn't think best try them dirst or try the hill climb lot as they often use them.

Colway went bust a month or two ago.

Maxsport do similar retreads.....

But they are both not the best tyre around

I managed to get the last 2 from tweeks and the last 2 from tyrs delivered!

I'm yet to try them out, got a track day at bedford on Saturday so i'll let you know what they are like, not that there is much point if they have gone bust mind!!

Alot of people on saxo sports club use them for trackday fun. If your prepared for slower lap times and an elavated risk of binning it, go for it.

I looked in to this a while back but ended up going for 888s instead as the F2s weren't supposed to be very durable on track - apparently meant more as a stage tyre. Allegedly also a bit inconsistent due to being retreads. Never tried them myself, but that's what I heard.

A similar alternative was Silverstone Rs (I think that's what they were called). Similar concept/price - might be worth a google.
