Reneault Clio RS Sport Tyres

I have a Renault Clio RS Sport 2016. It has 4 different tyre manufacturers but all the same size, 205/40/18. However, none of them cover the wheel rim, some are closer than others but the worst one leaves 5mm standing out unprotected wheel rim. Has anyone fitted a wider tyre? Maybe a 215/40/18 or a 225/35/18?

You can go 225/40/18 on these without any issues.

Does the increased tyre circumference mess with the ABS or anything else?

I very much doubt it’d mess with the ABS, it might alter the speedometer a fraction due to circumference though.

Are they the standard wheels?

Traction control? Just a thought as the wheel will be rotating at slightly different speed relative to its distance travelled. Thanks for your help, it's much appreciated.

I believe so, it says RS in the middle.
