Go into the installation directory and set all the .exe files to work in Windows 98 or Windows XP compatibility mode.
There may also be a patch available on the Westwood / EA website.

Oh and for the record, I thought RA2 was better, especially with the "Yuri's Revenge" add-on.

yup just figured that out, running in xp compatability mode works

Cool, didn't know that. I always used to stick it in '98 compatibility mode because that's the last OS I played it on.

Yeah it is, THE best...... Try playing about with the Rules.ini file too
