Company Insurance Help!

right, I am getting a car through the compay, they said I can get what I want and have decided for a clio172 mk1.... it will be a poole car so everyone can drive it in the company...

urrently we have a mercededs ml320 jeep, BMW MTech 2.0 Coupe and Audi A3 DSG 2.0...

I can happily and legally drive all of these at the moment, but. spoke to our insurance guy about a 172 and he didnt even try to insure it, he just said he cant do it on that car? why is this?

My friend is younger than me, has 3 points on his liscense and drives around in an Astra VXR for fook sake!!

Im 18, have no points on my liscense and have been driving longer??

well, company insurance is a little different than your main high street insurer... they are supposed to insure everything.

Other staff are all over 21 years old, with it being a poole car, it should not be an issue :S

we had this issue with our compnay car policy when i bought a clio 182 to go on the fleet, the reason they wouldnt insure it was because it was not on there list of cars. ie they had bmw's mercs, ford's etc u get my point, but would not insure cars such as clio sports, caterhams, westfields and a civic type r's.

it seems crazy to me as the other cars were higher insurnace categorys and price etc but jsust because it was not written down on there and i quote ''approved car list'' they would not insure any one in the compnay on it. i to am 18 like yourself and had to change the hole company car policy.

Your 18 and want compnay cover on a 172 no wonder the compnay don't even bother insuring you the cars have a bad enough insurance history with normal drivers let alone young ones.

For a try have a look at insurance quotes on the crs I'd imgaive the 172 will be the most for you.
