  Ultra 197 ex 172 Cup
i got a fusion sub its alright, i made my own box for it, but aint nothign wrong with it, and i got a pionner amp

I have a JBL 10", can't complain about it. Does what it should do, and isn't that expensive.
Buy according to your budget ;)

Have you got a box for it? Box design can make or break a sub.

If you've got £30ish quid (I think) EFMax on TalkAudio might still be doing box designs. They're pretty damn good and a hell of a lot better sound quality than the standard £15 mdf job you get.

The JBL GT4 series is one of if not the best budget sub you can buy. I've got a GT4-12 and can't fault it, had it years.

Alpine R type 12in is the one to go for !!! very very good sub
but if you are looking for a cheap option JBL GTO 1000 12in , i ran two of these with a Alpine MRD M500 amp and won lots of competitions, and beat lots of alot more exspensive set ups!!!!
But alot depends on what amp you are running! match the true RMS of your sub to the true RMS of your amp and you cant go wrong!

I find JBL are the best budget sub you can buy.

I used to be a vibe fanboy, Purely because of their ease of use, But JBL are the best budget set up.

Never liked Fusion apart from their top end stuff, Alpine you pay alot for their name, Although The majority Of installs of done have consisted of Type R and Type X subs and have impressed me.

I've fan full Vibe Set ups, Full Alpine set ups and Full pioneer set ups.

All were quite good, But I found that I got more valeu for money and a better system by buying lesser known makes such as SPL Dynamics, Powerbass Xtreme etc etc.

I've not used fusion as I say, I've used Vibe right from Black Airs to Space subs, And To be honest had some very ncie systems using them, My alpine set up was alot more money (MRD M1000 amps and Type X subs, So cant com pare)

But JBL never cease to amaze me.

ID go JBL.
