Connecting iPad 2 to laptop

  BMW 330ci
Right so seen a few apps that can connect the iPad to a laptop/ computer. I would like to able to do this as my laptop screen is water damaged but laptop works fine, but it would be great if I could access it on my iPad.

Just wondering if anyone has done this and if they can tell me any good apps and how exactly to do it.

I have a Sony vaio laptop with Microsoft vista, 2gb of ram, and duel core processor if that's any help lol. Its only a home laptop btw no business software or anything.

Any help would be great thanks.

Remote Desktop, but I doubt its enabled on the laptop. I use RDP, useful at work with 700+ computers.

Connect a monitor to laptop via VGA?

What are you trying to do?
Just basically get onto my laptop via my iPad. Seen some videos on YouTube but don't 100% understand it and don't wanna buy something for it not to work. Just looking for any help if people have managed to do this.

Yeah there's a free app RDP Lite, I doubt you have remote desktop enabled on the laptop though so its pointless.

How? The screen still works then?

Splashtop needs a client, which to install blind would be impressive.
