Connecting sky box to laptop

Is there any way I can copy a program off my sky planner onto the laptop? There's a USB port on the front of the sky box, not sure if this is any good.

Nope. Impossible.

You'd need a video capture device for your laptop which you could then connect a video output from the sky box (probably from the scart using a composite convertor or using svideo) and then you could record on the laptop from it. There's various issues with encoding that you might hit doing this though too depending on the program content. Basically as you stand no you cant connect it directly...
