:cool:Hey guys

Got a problem.

My keyboard and mouse stop working as soon as windows starts up. The keyboard lights flash as normal and mouse light comes on during load up but stops working as soon as windows loads.

Im thinking if i can access my tower through my laptop via ethernet without having keyboard and mouse capabilities on the tower.

Possible?

Cheers gurus.

It is possible but you'll need a working mouse/keyboard to set up the Ethernet network on your tower.

You can use Remote desktop on the tower if they are both on the same network. As Andi-B said though, you will need to be able to configure it for first time use.

Have you tried plugging the keyboard and mouse in another USB port?

The keyboard works in BIOS and i can select safe mode etc but as soon as windows loads its dead. Tried another board and mouse and still the same issue and all other USB ports are the same. Im thinkin USB drivers got corrupted or somthing.

Happened as soon as a dodgy windows 95 disc was put in on xp

Do they connect via USB?

If so just put them into another port and it should install itself.
