consant gear lever movement

when ever im driving along the gear knob seems to move around quite alot. is this normal? i test drove 3 cars and they all had this problem.

also when i was sat in traffic earlier the car was idling and i could feel the engine moving back and forward occasionally.

anyone had these problems?

I would have thought it needs a new gearbox and or engine mount

major gayness!!!!! well i got 6 months AA warenty with the car when i bought it.

This was fixed on mine by one of the bolts on one of the engine mounts that had cracked,
easy replace back to solid
