Considering a D60

Well im looking at getting my First DSLR camera soon as its coming to my Birthday ive been looking mainly at the D60 and have found Dixons to have a good price on it but what im unsure of is theres two diffrent Kits and im unsure witch to go for.

the kits in question are

Nikon

D60 18-55mm kit

D-60 Digital SLR Camera
£370 with "up to" £90 Cashback

Nikon

D60 18-55mm VR Kit

10.2 megapixel,
Expeed image processor, £380
vibration reduction lens


The VR kit dosnt have the Cashback offer advertised with it so im asuming it dosnt have it, am i right in saying that ?

Also is the VR lens worth the extra £10 and lose of Cashback ?

Get a D40 & an extra lens is my recommendation! Will take pics just as well as the D60 plus you can get that all important 2nd lens.

Would this be a better starting point ?? D40x same 10mp but a bit cheaper than a D60

Get a D60 for the advanced white balance feature. I have one as my cheep camera.

I have an Olympus E-410 and the 420's ment to be cracking! I used a D60 and thought it was a great camera but my Olympus came with two lenses. Cant go wrong these days really

Where would be the best place on line to buy a D60 i was considering the Dixons prices but i asum there is cheaper out there or atleast a better place to buy form.

yeah, do u still get cashback? I am 100% happy with mine. One flaw is a Nikon flaw and that's ISO adds gain which is a pain as you see digital grain but this aside good choice mate.

Im still learning how to use it just by messing around with it but for a noob my pics didnt come out half bad....No idea what setting i was on when i did them but it wasnt Auto lol !!!

Yeah just the VR kit i picked it up from Jessops as its same price as link above plus no need to wait on delivery..

Thats what i said, plus my dads camera was letting the car down with poor quality pics !! !! Just waiting for my Crumpler bag to appear and ill be much happier !
