Constant noise - I'm confused........

  Clio 182 Trophy. No. 189
............have a constant 'noise' which I am left confused as to what it could be. Dampers in need of a refurb but wondering if they would make a noise constantly when car is moving?

Rear discs replaced so eliminates the bearings on the back, could it be a noisy bearing on the front? Sound is high pitched but faint, maybe its just air movement or road noise? Feels to me like something is loose and rough and car defo does not feel right. Don't seem to have much road grip and car very twitchy, not as planted as when i frist got it.

Had new tyres on the front and tracking done - no issues there. Always top up pressures on tyres too to standard pressures. Maybe I should wait until BG Motorsport refurb dampers but worried that they may not resolve the issues i have!!

hard to tell what you're experiencing. Where does it sound like the noise is coming from? DS/OS? Wheel bearing wouldn't be high pitchs, and neither would the drive shafts. Could be tensioners/dephaser maybe.

Handling wise are you sure it's not just in your head? Get the sach refurbed if you haven't already. You have put good tyres on the car yes? Jack the car up and see if there is any give in the wheels/suspension?

Played around a bit today and no play from what I can tell. Replaced both ball joints and noticed the holding bolts were seized in, not sure if this is normal? Will see if this makes any difference.

Took springs off shocks and able to push the dampers in when pushing hard on them? Is this normal or should they be rock hard by human pressure?

Thanks
