conversion question

Hi people, I have a clio rt 1.4 mk1 phase 3 the one with the facelift, I want to stick a bigger engine in her, ive been told laguna engines go in fairly easy and was just wondering what everyone thought, I want minimum amount of effort i.e keeping the gearbox, any suggestions are welcome, thanks.

First off, people will say dont waste your money etc, but ignore them, if its a route you want to take do it,

you could stick a F4R sport engine in it, like the other lads have done(f0xy,waitley,willy etc) to do a conversion you need to put some effort into it, its not just a simple drop in and go unfortunattly, have a seach for mk1 conversion's in the Search bar, should bring up loads of threads,

F4R 172 engine is a possible swap however its not straight forward.

1.8 16v/2.0 16v Valver/williams engine is fairly straight forward though, especially with a doner car!

1.8 16v sounds about right, what would be the most suited doner car?

1.8 16v from a clio 16v or valver would probably be your best shot. can get hold of the engines for anythin from £50-150 and it hasnt really got enough toqrue to rip ur box apart so could keep yours in there
