Converting from drums to discs

  Clio
Hi I am looking to convert my rear drum brakes on my 1999 1.2 Clio Grande to discs and am hoping someone can tell me
  1. It can be done
  2. the best way to do it
Thanks

it can be done as i have friend who converted his missus 1.2 to a 1.6 then swapped out the rear beam for a disc one.

have you got abs? if not then its easy just get a rear non abs disc beam and hook it all up.

if you have got abs i think it's a lot harder as the teeth on the abs rings on the rear will be difficult to get to work correctly.

  Lots of Alfas
The Grandes came in 1.2 8v and 1.9d they dont have ABS and the drums on them are effective enough. They have the same front brakes as a Valver so the braking force is more than adequate.

why do this m8y there are people on hear who have 172 engines in there 1.2's and still got drums. Its a waist of money imo

My plan is to stick a roll cage in it and drop a 172 engine in it but as I plan to do motorsport in her I wanted the best possible all round braking. No ABS so I hope to get it done.
