Coolant Temp Sensors

is it right you can get two different coloured sensors? are there any differences? and if there are, wil fitting the wrong one cause problems?

Use the same one you have fitted already.

2 different head castings where on CTS is tapped into the the head direct and one fits into the thermo housing.

rightio, cheers mate. Its just i still have my idle problem, thats the only thing not changed as it was brand new when i got the car (6 months ago) and was wondering whether it had the wrong one fitted. obviously not.

i think although the two types are situated in different locations they both fit (could be wrong). If yours is situated on the thermostat housing, it should have a white plug and at about 15quid you may as well change it to see if it helps your idling issue.
