cooling sys flush

Hi , last time i flushed my cooling system all i did was take off one of the rad hoses from the bottom drivers side of the rad and all the water gushed out , then i just put a hose in the water bottle and kept letting it drain out , using some cooling sys flush from halfords , is this the correct way , or is there a better way to get it clean !!

Thats how I did it. Mines ok. Been drivin about for a while today and temp seems to be a bit lower.
