Cooling System Flush and fitting a Rad

Right, wanna fit a new rad, never done it before but willing to attempt it as it is rated as one spanner job according to MR Haynes...........:D

Do I have to undo the drain plug, or will disconecting the two rad hoses be enough? Can it be done with out taking off the bonnet?

Any help will be much appricated......

Thanx.....

BEN-R could you be more specific about the yes and no................I seek your wisdom my friend, Ive heard legendry stories about you and your knowledge of clios;)

you have to take off the bonnet and cross-bar that goes over the rad. sounds complicated but fairly easy - just takes 2 people to carefully take off the bonnet tho. I did this once and it did take me more or less a full day, but it took ages getting the bottom pipe off the rad!

oh, and if you are removing the rad, just the 2 pipes will suffice. drain plug not needed.

Anyway temp needle is around the middle now and not off the scale LOL

Plently of crappy looking water in the old rad, and I mean literally water like sh*t had been stirred in to it eeeww!!
