Corrosion Warranty???

Anyone claimed on this? Ive noticed a slight bubble ob the bonnet although its nothing itll most certainly rust left un-treated.

Im going to Renault Tomorrow to fight my case, the cars a 7 year old ph1 172.

5 year paint warrantyt, 12 year anti corrosion after 2000. They are two different things.

I had the bonnet and tailgate replaced under the warranty. The car MUST have a full Renault Service History, and have all the relevant stamps in the book to say the bodywork has been inspected.

Nah ive got it in black and white in a Renault Manual that came with the car, its 12 years

I have a 2000 (w reg) 172 ph1, and tried to claim about rust on rear arches and was told mine only came with 6 years as did all renault cars in the year 2000, so anything after 2000 you can claim, were as im stuffed

No this isnt right, in the manual i have and its got the chassis number and engine number and date of rist registration of the car printed on the inside first page it says...

"All renault vehicles come with a 12 year warranty bar the pre 2001 Renault Laguna models which have 6 years....."

Im phoning renualt UK today, they wont have a leg to stand on as i have it printed in plain english!

I noticed I've got a area thats bubbled up on the drivers side front just on the underside of the skin and was going to take it back in the next couple of weeks.

Will they replace or just respary the bonnet? if they just respray will they do the whole thing as I have a few stone on ther front so would be handy if they resprayed them too

Have a small bubble on mine on the very edge and renault said it was a caused by a stone chip and wouldn't repair it. Phoned r uk but got nowhere.

Read the small print bar a good will I bet you don't get anywhere as for the warently to hold you need to forfill certain criteria.

And before you berate Renault see what other companies are like who are deemed as better then you may rethink your approach.

Yea renault will say its a stonechip / damge or something thats caused the rust. Very unlikely you'll get anywhere with it.

renault asked for the print number of the brochure that i have and are gonna phone me back.

Im the second owner of the car after the first lass had it for 7 years.

There going to look into it, so its checkmate for now...

Its gonna be hard for them to find a stone chip on somthing that hasnt broke the paint work yet:rasp:

As above mate, its a slight bubble. I cant actually beleive renault cant even tell me themselves how long the warranty is, at least ive got all the experts i need on here...
