E92 M3,172 track car
Sorry if this is in the wromg section, it is technicla.
My girlfriends sisters Corsa has just failed it's MOT miserably on various points, the most concerning of which would be the emissions. I have'nt seen the fail sheet but the HC's were massive by all accounts.
The car is an N reg 1.2 Merit I believe and is on 129k with sound bodywork. She originally wanted £250 but I think I have convinced her it is worth nothing without an MOT and have thrown a figure of £100 into the equation.
My dilema is that I can have a 98 S Corsa Sport with the 1.4 16v engine for £200. This has done 70k and comes with Astra Dan special Cesaro wheels. It was rear ended into a tree at 60 mph so the rear is a gonner but the front end is fine.
Do I:
A - Buy both, swap the engine etc and sell on? What would it be worth?
B - Buy both and sell onto someone with a view for them to repair?
C - Buy both, strip the 1.2 and fit the Sport engine for a little fun.
Suggestions guys?
