Bit off topic but i paid around 150 a door to have the strips taken off and smoothed painted etc. so would say 80-100 but then u need the solenoid fitted as well!!

Ive just paid £220 for both doors to be de-locked, that includes removing all the mechanism inside and welding plates behind the exisiting holes and blending the colour into the rear quarters.

Thats well steep!!

I paid £205 for both doors de-locked, bonnet repaired and de-badged, colour coded grill and bump-strips

Yeah, not bad at all, I had a dent on the bonnet from pranging some one so went to get a quote on that and though fcuk it Ill have some more done!

Was a little place in Upminster. Just two blokes there, one a mechanic and the other a bodywork spcecialist. Think their names are Robbie and Bruce. Been in the trade for years.

He had to plastisise the strips and grill to colour them, I had a black car any way so it was ok. I wouldnt say phase 1 strips and grills are worth colouring though.

Bought some phase 2 strips that are body coloured now and they look alot better.
