Cost of fitting a 172 gearbox

You might aswell have a new clutch to so looking at around £300-£400 I just had mine done, but i had a spanking new box.

lol yes, was being on the reserved side to, new box +clutch and fitting cost me over £1k
It's a massive job.

My invoice was £300ish for fitting, £20 for oil, then clutch on top, seriously advise getting the clutch done to.

clutch is cheap enough, so may as well add it to the bill now instead of having to remove gearbox again to do it. they dont last long.

No way would i let renault do it, had mine done at a specialist, because if the clutch breaks the entire gear box has to come out, so would cost £300 again.

Can be had for £100ish, make sure its a genuine Renault clutch to.

no, the instructions in there show how to do it without removing engine.
