cost of painting wheels

anybody know approx how much to change anthracite wheels to black to match my black 182 also if anybody got images of what it looks like?

probably powder coat but not sure whats the best option or how much it will cost

black alloys will make your tyres look brown, stock up on tyre shine if you do make them black.

From experience I'd personally just find a place that will paint them professionally at a competitive rate.

As said, often by the time you factor in the hours, unless you enjoy it, to do a proper job it's normally better to pay someone.

Also, black on black often looks very chav. Not a look I like personally.

Ive recently got quoted £30+VAT a corner for my F1's to be refurbed by M-tech in Hastings. seems a prety fair price for a full sand blast, repair if needed, then finished in whatever colour you want.

Does make the tyres stand out, so definitely stock up on tyre shine if you plan on doing that.

I bought these already painted but I'm pretty sure it was a spray can job as the paint was starting to peel.

Does look a bit chav but pfft I liked it.

Unless your good with paint, have ideally indoor space and the wheels are in decent condition then it's just easier to get them done professionally. By the time you've bought paint, primer, lacquer and wet & dry there's probably not much in it to get it done by a company.

not always true, i had never painted anything before i attempted my first DIY wheel refurb and they came out well i did it myself not only to save money but i really want to give it a go on my own. very rewarding !

What I meant was to know the basics of DIY painting and not holding down the nozzle like your spraying your armpits!

Definitely takes some practice, so easy to apply too much and get runs
