Cost of Xenons

Just purchased a 172 replica and it currently does not have xenons.

How much would it cost to purchase some, where can I get them from and is it a DIY fitment job?

I want to sell them in 6 months when I sell te car.

yeah its DIY, simply plug and play.

not sure on price but i remember people mentioning circa £300 for a second hand set??

im sure someone will post a price up.

keep an eye on the for sale section on here, they will probably get snapped up quickly though...

ebay aswell maybe?

theres somone on here who picked up a second hand set for £150, cant remember who it was... bargin of the century though

Matt black was reasonably priced for brand new ones iirc. £300 + VAT for both and with everything needed

Ok I might give him a shout.

Brian - purchased it.

Took a guy from a body shop with me that Dad knows and gave it a good check over.

It had been damaged from rear arch.

Side airbag was deployed and they have now got new module, side impact sensors and new seat etc... with receipts to proove.

Everything replaced and the panels where it took a knock are all in as new condition.

It looks really nice however with these minor bad points:

• Side skirts and front bumper (around headlight washer blanks) are flaking a little bit. They need respraying but I have a quote for that and thats fine.
• Front bumper doesn't fit flush with the wings as I think they have left the standard dynamique wings the same
• Horn doesn't work

Apart from that the car is in brilliant condition by the looks of things. Mot until January.

I am only going to have it 5 months so I plan to correct the above and make a bit of a profit with any luck.
