Cost off lowering

How much would i be looking at for lowering my car? only wanna fit the wheels nicely in the arches, sumat like 40mm. what would i need to buy? can i just buy springs for the front or lower the torsion bar at the back? or would i need to do something more expensive? which company provides lowering on the cheap?

Cheers

You got it mate, get some lowering springs for the front and have the torsion bar adjusted to match at the back. Most garages will do it. Not sure on the cost, but there is a guide available to do the rear yourself if you know what your doing.

im in barnsley mate. shouldnt be too expensive doing it this way :) i was getting worried that alloys would cost loads extra in arch rolling and suspension. just need to find some alloys now! anyone selling any 16v alloys? the more up-to-date ones dunno what phase theyre off, still mk1 16v though u guys know what i mean. altho theyre 15s theyre very nice wheels

I lowered my RT last year, 45mm i think. I bought the springs (Avo or similar) for about £45, and got someone i knew to fit them and adjust the torsion bar for £80. although when he was adjusting it some rubber bushes (or summit) were stuck on and broke when they came off. so had to wait 2 days and paid an extra £100 or so to get new ones!

But after that was done no problems, i Lowered it on 15" league 5 spokes. not too expensive looks ok and no chaffing or arch rolling. Can sling a pic if u want.
