Evening all, I've recently just bought a 2002 1.2 Clio Extreme. We had a brand new 1.5 Dci in 2003 and then a 1.4 in 2005 and had no problems at all. Thats why she wanted another one.
However, when starting up from cold the car goes about 1/2mile before it first stops. Then when you try to pull away it coughs and splutters and judders away from the lights. Then all of a sudden it takes off like its possessed. Then 2nd and 3rd gear are the same. After that 1st instance the problem doesn't come back all day.
No lights on the dash and no fault codes stored, its just weird.
I've recently just serviced it and took the throttle body off and cleaned that up. Also the TDC sensor has been done.
Any ideas folks?
