Could you help - Photoshop

I wanted to make a photo logo to stick on my images, had a pop at one this afternoon, in need of a PS Guru to help on the following
I need to keep the white outline on the following image so make the background transparent:

select the black with the wand tool,

Delete it

Save the file as a PNG or TIFF

There is a much easier / quicker way which saves you getting dodgy jaggered edges, just change the layer blending mode from normal to screen.

^ As above. Would be easier. Then if you want it black just invert then set as Darken
