I have found i have no water in my water bottle on the engine of my Clio 1.4RT 1995 M plate... Could this have led to my CAMBELT going and what other damage could it have caused me if any?

Eh no.

Cambelt would have snapped due to it perishing or it not being replaced when it should have, i.e once every 5 years.

Damage could be to valves, pistons etc.

so could i get away with changing pistons and valves or will i need a new engine?

well if u have drove with no water in it, and its over heated, you could have warped your head, / seized the engine. Did the cambelt break?
