Couple of problems with the 1.2

I was doing 60mph in 5th gear but the engine was racing quite badly and it felt like there should be another gear to go into. After a few minutes of driving at 60 the fans got really hot. (The heating wasn't on). I know the engine gets hot but surely not this quickly?

Also i have recently fit new wheels and when i am driving straight the steering wheel isn't straight if that makes sense?

If you have had these problems before or you know why they are happening i would appreciate the advice. Thanks

What size wheels? You probably need your tracking re-doing.

The wheels are 15".

Not 17"s then so shouldnt put more strain on the gearbox...

Probably get the wheels checked for balance, maybe the engines not racing , its the car shaking due to the wheels being off balance.

Get the balancing & tracking checked

Normally about £30 for the tracking and about a fiver per wheel for balancing.
