Couple of questions from a newbie

Hi everyone,

I originally posted this in the general chat section of the forum, but I'm not sure where I should really ask, so this seems like my best bet for now


I recently got the idea of customising my interior by carbon wrapping a few items (currently the door handles and door wells?(the bit below the handle with the electric window buttons). Unfortunately, when I tried it looked rubbish, so I got some from ebay instead. Now here are the problems.

Firstly, on one of the door wells, it is missing the electric mirror switch/knob. Is this normal, and will I have to transplant the current one onto it? Or should there be one on there, ready for me to just plug the old connector into?

Also, when it comes to changing over the door handles, how easy is it to remove the old cable, and connect it to the new handle? I had a look previously when being nosy, and I noticed there is a sort of rounded, rectangular plastic connector.

In case it helps, I have an 02 expression.

I would imagine that the door mirror switch would be taken from yours and I think it's a simple plug and play.

Swapping over handles is very easy just twist handle onto the cable,try carbon central on here for real carbon bits and very reasonable

Thanks for all your help J6PKP and easym5. It was a lot easier than I previously thought. Looks like I was just overthinking everything...
