Courtesy light not working - Where does this cable go?

The courtesy light does not appear to work when the doors open. It's the not the map light style, I have checked the door switches however they are fine as the dashboard door notice light illuminates when you open the doors. Also have checked every fuse but everything is fine there.

So far I have traced the wires from the light down to the block connector. As I understand red is 12+, black is ground and white is 12+ switched. However there is no 12+ down the white wire when the doors are open even at the block connector. I am thinking it could be caused by a damaged cable further down the loom so does anyone know where this goes?

Ignore the tax disk holder, for some reason the previous owner put a Ford one in and I haven't got round to changing it yet!

Ahh :) well that block will go down to both fuse box and uch.

A multimeter will be your best friend :)

I've had the multimeter on it but I can't find the other end of the cable so I can't test for any breakages in the wire :( Do you know if there is a pin-out diagram for the uch? If I can find the other end I can check for continuity!

Thanks again

Someone on here must have the knowledge to help, no?

So I found the UCH pinouts and pin A8 should have 12+ when the doors are open... nothing at all (checked with multimeter. I'm now running out of ideas. The door light on the dashboard illuminates when either doors are open so I know the switches are fine.

What should I try next???
