Cracked Cat - Warranty job?

My cat is cracked - when getting my stainless janspeed exhaust my mate noticed that as well as the exhaust blowing, the cat had gone too.

Car has a years warranty left on it - Should Renault replace the cat, even though I've upgraded the exhaust??

If not, can I fight it?

If I HAVE to conceed, what sports cat is best to go with cos I'm not paying £600 for a renault item!!

Should be covered by warrenty although it wouldn't surprise me if renault try to avoid it.

Janspeed sports cat if not - should last longer I'd imagine and fit better with the janspeed exhaust I have
