Cracked iPad 2 screen

Hello, I'm after a new screen but don't know whether to get just an LCD screen or a digitizer and LCD screen, what is the difference? My iPad is the 3G version. There seems to be 2 types on eBay, digitizer and inner LCD and just an LCD screen.

The touch screen works fine, it's just the glass is cracked

When I replaced the screen on my iphone 3, I originally purchased just the screen and it was a nightmare. I then purchased the screen with digitaliser which I believe is the touch screen part etc as one assembly. This made the change a lot easier. I would imagine it will be the same with an iPad?

It sounds like you just need the digitizer.

Not going to fit it myself Incase I balls it up lol going to send it off to get repaired

Makes sense, you need a heat gun to remove the screen.
