cracked laptop screen

is it possible to replace a cracked/bleed laptop screen or is it f**ked

laptop still works ok, there are 15/20 lines going across the screen and about 5 black areas where its bleed

lol. Yes mate, you can replace them. Quite easy on some like Dells.

and before anyone says advent calender it isnt!

lol. Best bet for compatability is to get onto Advent to see if you can source a new screen. I cant imagine it being too difficult to get one sent out. Depends how the customer service is really.

I've seen a few screens on ebay i'm sure there will be one for you on there. If not house insurance?

Bought from PCWorld, you may have coverplan? Covered acc dam etc. If not the only way to repair it really is to take it to PC world and they will repair it. £120+parts and labour. Not cheap... or try calling parts master on 0844 800 3456and see if they have any.

tut tut ben , 120 plus parts not around anymore, its 230 incl parts and labour now.
