cracked spring - what a sh*tter

just had 24k service for my mk1 172 and been told that rear spring cracked at rear.

renault want 80 quid for it!!!

Anyone have a mk1 172 set of standards they wanna sell?

Shouldnt that be under warrenty or something thats crap for a car which is so new only having 24k on it, id bash some ears if i was you!!
