Cracked Windscreen... B@LLS!!!

Yup...

A stone chipped the windscreen just below the the passenger wiper blade...

... and I watched it grow into a full-crack as I was driving along!

So:

Who are the best people at that game? (or is it a case of me being told by my insurance company?).

if its a small crack outside zone a (drivers view) a repair may be possible
since we bought a repair kit at work we saved thousands on sceens

You cannot repair it if its in the sweep of the wipers mate, we have just had ours replaced on the 182 by RAC through the insurance company. Cost us £50 iirc

but get it looked at quickly cos they grow!
chipps in zone a can be repaired but its hard to completely remove a crack! just reduce it and stop it growing

they can be repaired in the wiper sweep IF they are small -inch or less(and you know what you are doing) and have a decent kit wich costs £800

ive been trained in windscreen repairs using those kits, can repair anythin basically if you know what your doing, probly better to get a new screen though if its as big as you say it is, too much fuckin about

just had mine replaced by Auto windscreens, seems ok tho - just cost £60 for the excess. I just pitched up at their garage and gave them my details, left it for a couple of hours and it was done!

Gettin mine replaced later in the week too, also on insurance. There coming out to me though, think its auto windscreens. I've told em to bring a new windscreen cos the crack is growing hourly!!!
