check both speakers wiring but mainly the terminals connecting to the speaker as they may be touching the door panels.failing that test another headunit,if it disappears its more than likely the unit is at fault

i got some 6x9s recently and i have played my music with abit more bass. so the front speakers may not be up to the challenge. MT AUDIO, any suggestions on some components to buy if the tests fail?

cheers

Just a quick cautionary note....

If your using the stock Head Unit you may have damaged the front mids by playing the Head Unit above its point of 'clip'....This may be the fault even if your using an after market unit, but it's more likely if using the stock unit....

Lower notes require much higher power input due to extra cone excursion required, as lower notes are played, the point of 'clip' will drop fairly sharply....

Fitting a set of after market components may hide or mask the problem for a short while, but ultimately these may fail also....The after market units will undoubtedly be less sensitive than the stock fronts so your immediately losing output & with stiffer or heavier cone suspension your essentially inviting more problems....

Try to have a chat with a local car audio specialist to pin point your actual issue....I can't imagine speaker terminals would foul against the door skin unless they have actually been removed at some point....
