Crashed :(

Coming home from work and a women slammed on in front of me due to a crash and i went into the bad of her about 25-30mph.

Damage isnt too bad, i think i need a new wing, bumper, bonnet and maybe a new front panel.

Are these DIY jobs?
Going to get it checked out for more damage tomorrow, just to be safe.

Do you think this will be a really expensive fix?

BTW engine seemed to be ok, drove it home was fine, no lights on, on the dash or anything

ah shame, gutted for you. There will be all the slam panels and stuff too - an easy job provided you've got the tools of course!!

I had a 15mph shunt same as you, was a cat c write off as parts add up. It will be cheaper for you to repair yourself using parts sourced from salvage/ebay.

unlucky mate. i did the same thing with my last clio. Had to change bonnet,grill, bumper and crossmember. I had never worked on a car in my life and i did the repair myself apart from painting.

what i would say is get genuine parts from renault or a salvage yard. i bought brand new off ebay but they never fitted perfectly.

Ahh terrible news matey! Wont cost that much to fix due to clios being 10 a penny! Just make sure the salvage merchants dont try rip you off

I had every front panel and rads on my car replaced and it wasnt categorised by insurance.

No insurance goin to pay out of my pocket, going to cost a whopping 650 with parts, tamping!

I need to get it done tho, hate not having a car lol!

tbh thats a cracking cost, although would have concers about quality! I am guessing that front slam panel is just being straightened when in reality it needs replacing!

nope Dead easy to fit, Make sure you have a Box of gaps at hand

spot welded in and by the looks of it the chasis leg will need straightening. Not rocket science but a fair amout of works. The price for the parts seems really cheap by my reckoning- second hand?
