Crazy colour wheels on a Monaco....

I've been thinking of having my wheels recon'd recently and it has crossed my mind that i don't have to keep them the standard colour but i have no idea what colour would look good. I would never do anything 'crazy' though.

I'm also lowering my car over the weekend. Yours looks like a minter mate, mine hasn't been that clean since last summer! You've made me realise that i need clear side repeaters too

I think athracite is a bit overdone, would rather keep them silver. Would love a wild colour though. If it wasn't for the way the Monaco paint looks in the metal, I think I'd be regretting I hadn't bought a black 172 to have bright colour wheels on it.

Thanks mate. Got out in the cold and washed it a couple of weeks ago, first wash its seen since I got it in November. Clear repeaters already on it, think they became standard at a some point. Mines an 03 plate. It needs lowering but waiting for insurance renewal first.

Unless I find a colour that goes with it, that's the way it'll stay.

Yeah, after I cleaned it they looked damn good. And with silver, after a couple of weeks they kinda look anthracite so almost like having two sets of wheels lol

Not sure on the turinis yet, too many ££££. I'm sure I will get a set one day, got lowering and cup spoiler on the shopping list first.

But if I did, think I would keep the silver.

Don't think orange will suit it. In the metal, the Monaco's got a slight purpley hue so making it really hard for me to think of a good colour match

Keep it silver or get some turini's in anthracite.

If you do have antracite wheels then you'd need to have the bullets done in the same colour.

Just don't get black, as it makes the wheels look brown and that looks rubbish.

my wheels are pretty much black but in the right light theyve got a blue tint to them, works well with the car

personally i like it how it is, i hate gold wheels on most cars but you could try that for a williams look especially if you are bored of white/anthracite/black wheels

Thanks mate! I like that with silver bullets. I didn't want anthracite as I think its a bit overdone, but that bronze/grey is quite nice.

I've got to get it lowered ASAP now, I've seen a lot of cars lowered but seeing mine lowered (and not from my poor MS paint attempts ) makes me really want some sportlines. I'm going to have to get quotes on tints as well now lol

Was thinking white wheels with white bullets and Monaco lettering, Jungle Jims 'shop of them would look good as an everyday wheel colour.

Or I might ask the carbon wh0re if he wants to use me as a test mule for carbon wheels....
